It is a passion that he has since extended to a suite of restaurants. The Trust Restaurant Group’s chef/owner has been working the flames since his days on California’s Central Coast, where he experimented with Santa Maria-style grilling, cooking meats and vegetables in an open-pit grill over coals of native coast live oak, known as red oak wood.
